Northwell Health is seeking a Chair of The Department of Anesthesiology to lead our team at Phelps Hospital.
Candidates should have demonstrated management and interpersonal skills that will allow them to maintain and lead
a team of exceptional physicians, CRNAs, and hospital staff to provide innovative care for the patients we serve. The
newly appointed Chair of Anesthesiology will work alongside hospital and regional leadership, to grow and expand the
clinical, administrative, and educational advancements of the Department.

• Quality and Operational Efficiency: Emphasis on driving absolute quality and enhancing operational
  efficiencies within the anesthesia department.
• Leadership: Seeking a transformational leader who can initiate change.
• Clinical Orientation: While leadership is paramount, maintaining a strong clinical component is important.
• Academic and Educational Focus: Interest in expanding academic pursuits, including research and
  education programs.
