A recruitment/relocation incentive is NOT authorized for this position. The Long Term Care Units of the VA Illiana HCS offer long term care to residents with a variety of chronic illnesses. Additionally, residents may be offered rehabilitation, as well as temporary placement if they are unable to return to their homes. The skilled units provide care to residents with acute and chronic medical, as well as surgical diagnoses. The majority of these residents have complex needs requiring skilled nursing assessment and resident monitoring and IV infusions. The CLC also provides palliative and hospice care, offering comfort rather than cure to the residents with extensive disease that is life-limiting. The focus for end of life care is pain control, symptom management and relief of suffering. I
