The Emergency Department (ED) is a level III unit with 27 beds, 2 triage rooms, with 4 beds designated for high-risk psychiatry patients. This position will focus on admitted patients that are being held over in the ED for greater than 4 hours. The incumbent(s) will provide 24-hour nursing care and monitoring of Emergency Department medical and psychiatric patients waiting for hospital admission. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
