The Community Health Center in Cowley County (CHCCC), located in Winfield Kansas, is a mission driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to improving the health and well-being of residents through accessible, high-quality, and compassionate care. CHCCC provides integrated medical and behavioral health services, with a focus on removing barriers to care and strengthening community wellness.
CHCCC is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to serve as the organization’s senior executive leader. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for providing organizational stability, strategic leadership, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance while advancing CHCCC’s mission and long-term sustainability.
The CEO works in close partnership with the Board and senior leadership team to: • Lead strategic planning and organizational alignment • Ensure sound financial oversight and sustainability • Maintain compliance with HRSA and other regulatory requirements • Foster a culture of accountability, trust, and collaboration • Strengthen relationships with community partners and stakeholders
This role requires a leader who can balance mission-driven care with disciplined financial judgment, navigate complex regulatory environments, and lead effectively. Degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
Senior executive leadership experience in healthcare administration, preferably within an FQHC or community health center environment
Demonstrated success in strategic leadership, financial oversight, and organizational management
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, HRSA requirements, and board governance
A collaborative, steady leadership style with high integrity and credibility
The Community Health Center in Cowley County (CHCCC) is a Section 330 grant funded Community Health Center located in Winfield, KS. The City-Cowley County Health Department helped to facilitate a FQHC new access point planning grant in 2012 and applied for Section 330 funding in the fall of 2014 and received designation in May of 2025.CHCCC has 2 clinic sites and provides medical, behavioral health, pharmacy and wrap around services. In 2024, CHCCC provided care to 3,269 patients.
