Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week
Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

The role you'll contribute:
Responsible for coordinating and providing comprehensive vascular access care for patients of all ages. This role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in alignment with regulatory standards and organizational best practices. Collaborates effectively with physicians and members of the interdisciplinary care team to support exceptional, compassionate, and evidence-based whole- person care.
The value you'll bring to the team:
- Follows CDC guidelines for sterile technique and isolation, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
- Manages and intervenes appropriately for the patient with current venous access issues, including prioritization, appropriate venous access choice for age, therapy, and any current complications impact on the needs for IV therapy.
- Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards and initiatives.
- Evaluates the need for and provide patient teaching in all aspects of the venous access specialty.
- Identifies individualized plan of care based on patients needs related to both infusion therapy and venous access consult and intervenes appropriately.
- Evaluates patients developmental level, identify increased physical/emotional dependency needs, and evaluate the availability of support systems consistent with assessment.
- Performs and documents all procedures and assessments according to department policy.
- Obtains patient assessment, evaluating diagnosis, previous medical history, existing infusion-related complications, and ordered therapy as it relates to current venous access consult.
- Administers treatments and medications, interprets and verifies physician orders, and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Associate of Science degree in Nursing
- Current State of Florida or Multi-state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- PICC, Port and Peripheral Intravenous Access validation
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) certification
