The role you’ll contribute:
The Sepsis Coordinator is a health care professional who works in collaboration with the medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to the septic patient. The Sepsis Coordinator provides clinical, professional expertise for patients, families, staff members and to healthcare providers. The scope of practice includes ensuring organized care is provided to the patient with sepsis with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention. The Coordinator also functions as a resource and coordinates in critical care/sepsis patient care management and outcomes.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Evaluates delivery of care system.
·Assure compliance with quality measures through concurrent and retrospective review, identification of deficiencies, and implementing corrective actions through education of staff.
·Assists in providing staff education related to sepsis.
·Assists with the development and maintenance of research protocols
·Will serve as co-chair of the monthly sepsis meeting, draft the meeting agenda/meeting minutes.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·BSN required/MSN preferred
·Minimum of 2yrs Critical Care experience
·Strong knowledge base of Sepsis a must as well as a strong understanding of ICU patients
·Florida State License as a RN
·Current BLS, ACLS
