Dartmouth Health has exclusively retained Kirby Bates Associates to conduct a national search for a Nurse Manager, Inpatient Psychiatry, to lead their renovated and growing Psychiatric Inpatient Unit. As Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) transitions to provide a higher level of Designated Receiving Facility support and launches a new adolescent unit, the Manager will be an integral part of the team’s development and success.
Dartmouth Health’s two million square foot campus includes the state’s only academic medical center, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) with 460 beds, it is the only Level 1 Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in New Hampshire. Dartmouth Health also includes Dartmouth Cancer Center (an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center; Dartmouth Health Children’s, NH’s only children’s hospital; five community hospitals; 30+ Clinics; and the only air ambulance service (DHART) in the state.
The Inpatient Psychiatry Nurse Manager will guide the team through a high level of change; lead the delivery of high quality, safe patient/family centered care; and foster a culture of collaboration and engagement among nurses, physicians, and the entire care team.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, with a Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in an acute care setting required.
Knowledge of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association nursing practice guidelines.
Experience with both voluntary and involuntary psychiatric care.
Shared governance experience.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance.
