Position Summary
The Trauma Coordinator is an excellent opportunity for those seeking a meaningful and gratifying career in trauma care. You will play a vital role providing professional, comprehensive, and high-quality trauma coordination care, while utilizing your clinical skills, specialized education, and nursing practice with an incredible team.
As an RN at MultiCare, you will coordinate and collaborate to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based quality rehabilitative trauma care and services, ensuring the best possible patient and family health care outcomes and experiences.
Responsibilities
You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating on an ongoing bases
You will engage your critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, including knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data
You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team
Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Masters in nursing preferred
Washington State Registered Nurse license (RN)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) Certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification or Emergency Nursing Pediatrics Course (ENPC) Certification
Certification in one or more of the following: Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), or a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
Minimum five (5) years of professional/technical nursing experience required; preferably in an emergency or critical care nursing unit, with a minimum of six (6) months experience in trauma nursing
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $46.49 - $77.48 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicants years of experience align.
