The System Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health is a registered nurse who brings psychiatric nursing expertise to a general med setting. The Nurse Manager provides leadership, directs the planning, implementation and evaluation of psychiatric patient care programs, in collaboration with the associated Emergency Department, intensive care, general care units, and clinics as appropriate. Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preferred Behavioral Health Holding Units and psychiatric nursing personnel, the nurse manager will have the opportunity to be innovative and represent the behavioral health field in the Northside system.
The nurse manager will lead and develop psych nurses in a consult liasion model as well as emergency services. In addition to overseeing the Lawrenceville campus, the system manager will lead in streamlining processes across the Northside system.
BS. degree in Nursing and a minimum of five (5) years nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of two (2) psychiatric experience or National certification as a Psychiatric Nurse
Good written and oral communication skills.
