Incumbent serves as Renal Transplant Psychologist at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of renal transplant candidates. The psychologist also provides professional consultation services to an interdisciplinary transplant evaluation team. The ability to provide full range psychological services for renal transplant candidates which include individual and group therapy, caregiver support, post-transplant adjustment, and annual evaluations. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
