Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Palliative Care Service Line at Overlook Medical Center. This role is a great opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to demonstrate their passion and develop advanced palliative care skills while growing a program, all done in collaboration with a specialized interdisciplinary team. Our professional Palliative Care team is made up of physicians, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, chaplains, consulting psychiatrists, dieticians, and social workers.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to; performing comprehensive health histories and physical assessments of patients living with serious illness, incorporate holistic aspects of the patients' care and accurate documentation of findings in a timely manner, and continuum of care planning. The ideal candidate will provide services primarily in the inpatient setting.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing is required
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
BLS certification is required
Must be Certified in Palliative Care
2 years of Palliative Care experience as a NP is preferred
Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
