Nurse Extern PCU PRN Nights Position Summary
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.
Responsibilities
The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for senior professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities, which includes participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
THE NURSE EXTERN PCU PRN NIGHTS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Education:
GED or High School Graduate required
Must be currently enrolled in an Associates or Bachelor�s Degree in Nursing Program from an accredited school. Must have completed at least 1 (one) semester of Nursing Clinicals.
Must be in good financial and academic standing with the school.
Preferred completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant program with a South Carolina Nursing Assistant Certificate or relevant patient care experience.
Experience:
One (1) semester of nursing school clinical experience.
Other Qualifications:
Current BLS certification.
