Manages the overall accountability for the development, management and outcomes of the Behavioral Health unit. Manages and delivers a comprehensive and long-term system view of the Health Plan and the Clinical Enterprise's strategic plan and constantly seeks to identify and take advantage of new business opportunities to improve the health and wellness of members and families served.
Coordinates the operations of behavioral health activities to ensure compliance with policy and procedures, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
Takes appropriate action to correct issues regarding non-compliance with policies, procedures and standards.
Leads the development of the behavioral health program that effectively integrates behavioral and physical health services and drives optimal outcomes for members.
Assesses overall clinical needs, identifies priorities, and initiates and contributes to the development of new programs andassists with plans for additional health plan growth.
Tracks and trends under- and over- utilization of behavioral health services to identify opportunities for improvement, followed by implementation of policies and procedures to initiate and monitor the impact the behavioral health utilization management and case management activities.
Provides direction management, responsible for hiring and professional development of the leadership team.
Provides direction regarding behavioral health information to the appropriate departments to support the development and launching of new programs and assist in licensing and accreditation process for all programs.
Assists with the development of product collateral and RFP responses.
Provides accountability for management of behavioral health call center functions to meet performance and quality standards.
Provides budget management and effectively utilizing resources to manage the day to day operations of the behavioral health department.
Ensures compliance with regulations of state oversight agencies and industry standards to foster quality improvement.
Assists in the development of management reporting capabilities and works with management to ensure they understand and use them to effectively manage the delivery of services.
Oversees the development of the annual work plan and summary for behavioral health utilization management and case management programs.

Minimum Requirements: Must be an MSW with an active LPC or LCSW license with 5 yrs of clinical experience and managerial experience
Travel: This position will require state travel on a quarterly basis for regional meetings. Additional ad-hoc travel may be required
Work location: This position will be a hybrid working arrangement. Must be a PA resident and willing to travel for business purposes.
