For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $5,000 sign on for New Grad Registered Nurses, $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1-3 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience!

The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit in Sanford is a 40 bed, locked unit that provides a 24-hour treatment program designed to provide care for adults ages 18-95 in acute psychiatric crisis. The multidisciplinary team treats individuals experiencing major mental illnesses and addiction related problems. The program includes voluntary and involuntary levels of care.
Our team of mental health professionals plan and work together with the patient to provide psychiatric care, medical treatment, support, referral for follow-up care, and opportunities for learning and emotional growth. We have a full-time Nurse Educator on-site for additional support and further learning for all of our staff.

Position Summary:
The health care work force of the future should have the knowledge and skills to provide patient-centered, community-focused, cost-effective, clinically-effective, coordinated care. To do these things successfully, the work force must be competent, flexible, and adaptive to changes in health care delivery and technology. The Registered Nurse is responsible for performance of complex, individualized, family oriented nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures under the direct supervision of a charge/shift leader RN.
Qualifications:
- License/Certifications: Current licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing as an R.N. required. BSN preferred. BLS and ability to perform CPR required. ACLS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one year's acute care experience as an R.N. preferred.
