ChristianaCare is recruiting for an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant to join our consult and liaison team with a focus on addiction and psychological trauma. The team consists of a physician and psychologist. The individual would provide services at both Christiana and Wilmington hospitals working Monday - Friday, 8am- 5pm seeing approximately 8 - 10 patients daily.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs thorough and accurate psychiatric and substance abuse assessments on patients requiring psychiatric consultation in the general hospital.

Performs case management services including coordination with medical staff, nursing staff and outside providers, formulates the treatment plan along with the clinical team.

Collaborates with the attending Psychiatrist evaluating treatment outcome.

Provides education to clinical team, patients and their families.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Master's Degree in Nursing or graduate from an accredited Physician Assistants program with NCCPA certification

APRN or PA Licensure or license eligible for State of Delaware

BE/BC as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred

Minimum of three years' experience working in a behavioral health setting preferably with experience in addictions
