Day in the Life
Contribute to a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all persons served
Provide crisis intervention for individuals in acute psychiatric distress
Perform basic assessment of patients
Record vital signs, note changes and pursue more-specific investigations as needed
Intervene with proper technique, design, safety precautions to meet patients’ individual needs
Implement portions of a medical plan of care through physician orders
Administer and monitor medications per physician order
Function as Charge Nurse when assigned, providing leadership and direction to staff and assuring the provision of care to all patients on the unit
Supervise care given by nonprofessional staff and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Coordinate transfer of care to appropriate health facility, if warranted
Maintain high level confidentiality while performing all duties
Perform other duties as assigned
What you need to apply
Full licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (psychiatric nursing experience preferred)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
