The Nurse Manager holds the responsibility for implementation of the Vision, Mission and Values of the Syracuse VAMC within his/her defined areas of responsibility. He/she is engaged in administrative nursing practice characterized by both increased complexity of clinical decision making and enhanced skill in nursing management. He/she provides leadership in day-to-day operations and input into the strategic planning process for the attainment of organizational goals. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
