The role you’ll contribute:
Under the direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the Lung Health Nurse Navigator is responsible for the full continuum of cancer patients from screening to detection, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship follow up. Additionally, the Lung Health Nurse Navigator oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of all aspects of the Low Dose CT screening, the Lung Nodule Clinic and the Lung Cancer Navigation Programs. The overall goal is to ensure cancer patients are effectively and efficiently navigated through the health care system receiving appropriate care throughout the continuum to optimize support, educational services and to provide the communication link for coordination of care among the multidisciplinary health care teams involved. Responsible for establishing, building and maintaining strategic relationships between our community physicians and their office staff. Responsible for promoting, educating and marketing the AdventHealth Lung Health Program to employed physician, community physicians and their office staff.

- Responsible for the Marketing/Business Development of the Lung Health Program
- Understands Navigation Pathway business model. Explores and reaches out to community physician practices/groups, build relationships to engage those practices/groups in the Pathway Program, thus growing disease-specific inpatient and outpatient market share. Engages and enrolls employed PCP physicians in the Multidisciplinary Lung Cancer Care Program. Represents and promotes the Lung Cancer Care Navigation Pathway and Multidisciplinary Program to community and outreach programs.
- Researches and develops tools and strategies to promote the Multidisciplinary Lung Program Pathway to area physicians.
- Visits physician offices regularly. Handles physician/physician office issues in a timely manner. Initiates physician communications as needed.
- Ensures physician satisfaction with services and presents to the director(s) any concerns to be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- BSN
- Must have experience in hemodynamic monitoring
- Two years’ critical care experience
- Minimum of two years’ Diagnostic Imaging RN experience
- Valid FL driver's license
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification or RQI
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or RQI
- Current American Heart Association PALS certification or RQI
- Current Florida RN license
