Nurse (Step Down Unit)
The Step Down Unit is assigned to the Nursing and Patient Care Service. This position potentially requires flexibility in schedule and assignments, as this is a 24/7 hospital. The nurse is accountable as assigned as a primary nurse for care of a defined group of patients on his/her shift or for an entire episode of care. Will be assigned as a preceptor to new or less experienced staff and/or as shift charge nurse or triage nurse and will be involved in department and hospital wide committees.
