The STAT RN utilizes the nursing process to prescribe, delegate, coordinate and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients and their families, makes independent decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient issues. The incumbent collaborates with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge in support of the medical and nursing plans of care. The STAT RN in consultation with the hospital providers, nurse managers, nursing staff and the NODs acts to support patient care needs in any location within the Medical Center. Duties include, but are not limited to: Transport and care of critically ill patients from the emergency department to diagnostic studies in radiology Serves as a resource for the ED and acute care, and psychiatric unit, as needed Assists all units with acutely ill or patients with deteriorating conditions Provides leadership, as delegated, for the hospital and departmental activities to promote delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and others. Serves as role model and provides guidance to other staff. Demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies. Accountable for adhering to established policies, standards of practice and improving nursing care. Work Schedule: Multiple shifts available.
