Performs as an independent and interdependent member of the health care team providing psychiatric management services
Follows established nurse practitioner protocols and guidelines
Conducts comprehensive history and physical assessment
Orders appropriate diagnostic and lab tests
Identifies strategies to help patient improve overall health and wellness education to the patient
Collaborates with the physician and refers patients when appropriate.
Participates in quality assurance activity and appropriate utilization of health care resources
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse preferred.
MAT, DCS, Child & Adolescent experience a plus.
Graduate of an accredited Master of Science in Nursing program DNP optional.
Current state license for Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Current or pending certification by approved professional certification organization.
Certifications as required by specialty which may be but are not limited to (BLS, ACLS/ACLS-EP, PALS, ATLS & CSR).
Minimum 1 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred. Certain departments or specialties may require additional experience as a nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
Excellent critical thinking and communication skills. Ability to collaborate with intra-interdepartmental team members along with community organizations or members. Meets expectations within a work environment requiring multi-tasking skills and diplomatic communication skills.

Provides services at two outpatientphysician clinics and a community health center
The psychiatric hospital is licensed for 120 beds, consisting of 16 beds forchildren, 18 beds for adolescent, 37 beds for adults, 18 intensive care adult beds, and a 20-bed unit dedicated to older adult patients
