Must be the graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Masters of Science degree in Nursing. If credentialed under the requirements of a baccalaureate degree can continue to be recertified through obtaining the necessary CEUs without earning a Masters degree. Three or more years of general nursing experience. Must provide a current state Registration for nursing or endorsement by State Board of Nursing. Must have current certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Must have current CPR certification.

Summary: The Nurse Practitioner shall perform as an independent and interdependent member of the health care team providing psychiatric management services. Follows established nurse practitioner protocols and guidelines. Conducts comprehensive history and physical assessment. Orders appropriate diagnostic and lab tests. Identifies strategies to help patient improve overall health and wellness education to the patient. As necessary collaborates with the physician and refers patients when appropriate. Participates in quality assurance activity and appropriate utilization of health care resources. Collaborates with the patient's physician.
