Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Haven Behavioral Hospital of Albuquerque is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dedicated leadership team.
The PMHNP has a collaborative agreement with the Medical Director. The PMHNP ensures that the psychiatric services provided to our clientele are consistently adherent to the standards of the agency.
Essential Job Functions:
Complete initial psychiatric evaluations for patient referred to and accepted for admission to the hospital.
Perform daily psychiatric assessments & concurrent reviews on assigned patients.
Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team to develop the most appropriate treatment regime for the patients.
Provide ongoing care with an emphasis on trauma-informed treatment and medication management and to ensure recovery-oriented outcomes for all patients.
Accessible Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 4:30 with some on-call requirements.
Work within state and federal regulatory guidelines.
Care for an array of patients with complex psychiatric illness.
Participate in the daily treatment planning meeting to ensure that patients are progressing with their treatment and meeting goals for discharge.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience inpatient or comparable experience with acute psychiatric illnesses.
