The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center offer a wide range of inpatient and outpatient mental health services that are tailored to the individual. Aventura Hospital and Medical Center provides adult acute inpatient psychiatric care, and is a Baker Act receiving facility that will treat a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses. Reporting to the Executive Director Behavioral Health, with dotted line reporting to the CNO, the Nurse Director Psychiatric Services will manage the operations and activities for the BHS department representing 56 inpatient beds.
Current FL RN license or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
Bachelor’s degree required
MSN preferred in Mental Health Nursing, Psych Nursing or equivalent
BLS required, CPI within 3 months of hire
Greater than 5 years clinical experience with acute inpatient Behavioral Health Services
Minimum 3 years Director level experience in acute BHS inpatient environment
Experience with adolescent, adult and geriatric MH/BHS patients
