We have several opportunities within our Behavioral Health Network, including research and education in the fields of behavioral, psychiatric and addiction disorder. Through dedicated, experienced and skilled clinicians, we provide patients and their families with the highest quality of personalized care. Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with mental illness as well as offering services specializing in Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Geriatric Services.
Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Role Scope
Performs crisis intervention and medication management
Provide individual psychotherapy
Coordinate appropriate follow up care, referrals, and case management
Develop and implement long and short range treatment plans
Orders and performs diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, and provides patient notification and follow up care
Solicits medical management consult or input when appropriate
Completes all clinical reminders to keep each patient up to date in the system

Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred
Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
National Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
