Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, Illinois
Under the direction of the manager of Patient Care Services, the professional we select will be responsible for daily operations of more than one patient care wing or department. This individual will ensure the provision of effective daily clinical service operations and compliance with requirements for patient and employee satisfaction, quality, service, and value. Additional responsibilities will include:
Acting as a proactive catalyst for operational change in support of PDCA/PI projects and Lean Rapid Improvement events, as well as general change in the work environment.
Collaborating with Human Resources to direct personnel management in coordinating interviewing schedules, developing a plan for timely completion of evaluations, and recommending coaching/discipline/mentoring plans for staff.
Creating a professional practice environment that is customer-focused.
Working evenings and night shifts as needed in order to coach, mentor staff regarding process improvement (PI), Lean initiatives, quality indicators, and other unit initiatives.
Two or more years of experience in a leadership role.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Illinois and BLS certification.
BSN or BSN with MSN.
Applicable certification within two years from date of hire.
The flexibility to work evenings and night shifts on an as-needed basis for coaching/mentoring purposes.
More than two years of experience in a leadership role.
MSN experience related to care-center patient populations.
