We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct care and address the acute- and long-term nursing care needs of patients and families at Bradley Hospital. The RN will perform and document biopsychosocial assessment of patients’ acute nursing needs, initiate the patient care plan at the time of admission and complete it within eight hours. The RN will also serve as a leader in acute or emergency situations and lead/co-lead therapeutic milieu groups. Our nurses practice within the Orlando Nursing Theoretical framework, have shared governance and are full participants in an interdisciplinary approach to patient- and family-centered care.
Graduate of a school of nursing with current RN license in Rhode Island
One year of psychiatric nursing and/or pediatric nursing experience preferred
Strong background working with students with various emotional and behavioral disorders in addition to a developmental disability, such as mental retardation of autism spectrum disorders
Ability to effectively manage time, as well as recognize and prioritize urgent issues while ensuring assigned work is completed
Ability to maintain current CPR and crisis management certifications
