Under the direction of the Vice President of Behavioral Health Services, the Director of Behavioral Medicine Operations ensures service development personnel management and resource allocation and control in order to support and enhance patient care. The Director assumes administrative responsibility for the management of the Behavioral Medicine Department and establishes objectives and current standards of nursing practice in accordance with accrediting and/or regulating agencies. The incumbent defines, interprets, and implements the philosophy and objectives of Behavioral Medicine Department.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience, with clinical competency in areas of leadership and management
Current RN licensure in the State of Florida
Knowledge of human resource management; program development; fiscal management skills; and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards
