As a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Psychiatric Liaison, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality care to patients, families and staff.
We are seeking a CNS:
Provide psychosocial and behavioral consultation support to staff, patients and families.
In collaboration with the Senior CNS Psychiatric Liaison coordinate the CNS Psychiatric Liaison Program throughout the hospital and clinics.
Maintain psychosocial nursing programs for patients and staff and lead the multidisciplinary psychosocial patient care team.
Collaborate with the Nursing Education Department to develop and implement relevant education programs.
Work collaboratively with the UW School of Nursing and other allied health programs.
Minimum - Master's Degree in Nursing
Minimum - Minimum of five (5) years of relevant psychiatric nursing experience. Experience in program development and coordination within a complex organization.
Licenses & Certifications:
Minimum - Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Evidence of extensive experience providing expert psychosocial care.
Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may only be a negligible amount, a job is in this category when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
Day, Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
May be required to work outside of scheduled hours based on departmental needs.
