Nurse Practitioner/Physician's Assistant to support Inpatient Psychiatry Service. If NP, prefer candidate with Psychiatric NP certification and demonstrated experience with Psychiatry patients. Provides comprehensive health care to hospitalized patients in collaboration with one or more physicians.
Will accept both NP and PA applicants. Please note this is a day shift position with hours of 9am - 5pm.

For PA: Graduate of an ARC-PA (or its predecessors) accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program. Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Vermont Board of Medical Practice.
For NP: Registered nurse who has successfully completed formal education program approved by the Vermont Board of Nursing, or state or national accrediting agency, which prepares nurses to function in advanced nursing practice. Must also be certified by national certifying agency recognized by the Vermont State Board of Nursing.
Must have strong knowledge of the management of patients experiencing acute episodes of psychiatric illnesses complicated by complex medical problems. Must be experienced in performing acute risk assessments, comfortable managing acute clinical situations and be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Must have excellent communication skills and previous experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician's Assistant strongly desired.
