ABOUT THE ASN PROGRAM The ASN program recognizes the level of care and compassion it takes to be a nurse. This is reflected in the program's low student to faculty ratio within the clinical setting. Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the ASN program offers hands-on learning at the College's main clinical affiliate, Lancaster General Health, as well as neighboring facilities. Students are exposed to a variety of clinical settings, including Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Mental Health, Community Health, Physician Offices, Home Health and others, allowing students to learn the area in which they want to specialize. Student learning is also facilitated in the College's state-of-the-art simulation labs. Training in the simulation labs allows students the opportunity to witness firsthand a variety of scenarios that they may or may not see in an actual clinical setting.
