Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Mood & Anxiety Disorder Partial Hospital (PHP) & Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for Women & Adolescent Girls
THIRA Health seeks a skilled Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with excellent communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills. The candidate must have crisis management experience and be able to effectively treat a caseload of 50+ adolescent and adult female behavioral health patients in partnership with THIRA’s attending psychiatrist/Chief Medical Officer. The ARNP is an integral part of the THIRA Health treatment team and reports to the Chief Medical Officer.
Evaluate patients’ psychiatric needs, prescribe, and manage patient psychiatric medication while patients are enrolled in IOP or PHP level of care
Work collaboratively with attending psychiatrist/Chief Medical Officer and multidisciplinary clinical team to create treatment plans and implement recommendations
Complete clinical documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner using electronic medical record MicroMD
Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures for psychiatric medication management
Supervise THIRA nursing personnel (currently one LPN and one CNA)
Operate according to the principles of THIRA’s DBT Milieu Environment and participate in weekly DBT Team Meeting
Masters Degree in Nursing
Licensed prescriber in State of Washington (or License eligible if out of state)
Strong organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in an intensive psychiatric treatment environment while complying with all HIPAA, institutional and health department requirements
2+ years of experience administering psychiatric prescriptions
Experience working in IPU, IOP and/or PHP environment
Familiarity with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and/or willingness to learn about DBT and practice within a DBT environment
