Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist
Advent Medical Group, LLC is currently seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist (PMHCNS) to provide services to local inpatient facilities in St. Charles County, North County and St. Louis County.
The PMHNP/PMHCNS coordinates and works collaboratively with the facilities’ Behavioral Health team and physicians to coordinate psychiatric education, admissions, discharges and consultation throughout the system.
Develop and implement collaborative practice with physicians(s) to effectively manage patient care.
Assess and triage the mental and behavioral health concerns of patients.
Facilitate admission, discharge or consultation of psychiatric patients.
Provide primary call support for facilities’ Behavioral Health Intake and Emergency departments.
Acts as a resource person providing consultation and referrals within the organization and the community.
Assist the Behavioral Health administrative team with the development of clinical and staffing protocols.
Provide clinical training and education for facilities’ Behavioral Health Intake department on clinical protocols and assessment processes.
Participate in Rapid Improvement Events and the Peer Review process.
Provide support in developing and auditing metrics for quality measures.
Maintain all required paperwork and documentation necessary.
Advanced Practice Clinical Nurse Specialist, or Nurse Practitioner with Psychiatric specialty.
Missouri Licensure and DEA prescriptive authority
Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in his/her area; and an ability to excel in communication, human relations and organizational skills.
Mental Health and Crisis Intervention experience.
Cultivated interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse cultures and educational backgrounds.
Effective team member and leader in a complex and fast paced environment.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
