A behavioral health hospital has an opening for a Director of Nursing. Reporting to the Hospital Administrator, the Director is responsible for the administration and supervision of nursing service for the hospital. The DON develops and implements policies procedures, trains nursing personnel and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services rendered to improve quality of resident care
1. A Master's Degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing; or
2. A Master's Degree in a related field such as psychology or nursing education and five years nursing experience and three years providing nursing care to the mentally ill; or
3. A Bachelor's Degree in nursing with documented evidence of educational programs focused on treating psychiatric patients, which has occurred at intervals sufficient enough to keep the nurse current on psychiatric nursing techniques. In addition, the nurse shall have at least five years of nursing experience, three years of which were providing nursing care to the mentally ill, or receive regular, documented supervision/consultation from a master's prepared psychiatric nurse.

The Darryl Strawberry Recovery Center combines the passion of past MLB great Darryl Strawberry with the expertise of Oglethorpe, Inc., an organization with over 15 years of experience in managing behavioral health centers in five states.
Patients at the Darryl Strawberry Recovery Center are treated with discrete, medical rehabilitation, followed by intensive outpatient, partial program or transitional living residential treatment.
