Norwegian American Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an RN with an acute care background and significant knowledge of data systems. The Quality and Health Analytics Coordinator will:
Review of health care outcomes and programs through observation, analyses and electronic medical record review of surgical care, medicine, telemetry, intensive care, behavioral health, outpatient clinics and services, medical staff functions, residency programs and more.
Provide oversight reviews of specific services, functions and committees to determine if appropriate care and services are rendered across the patient's health care continuum. Function as a performance improvement leader in understanding and implementing accreditation standards, guidelines and processes, and will train relevant staff regarding performance improvement strategies.
Conduct oversight of assigned health care committees and/or sub-councils, task or work groups. Responsible for evaluating outcomes, actions, accuracy and reports to assigned committees and groups monthly. Providing a routine QM report to the VP of Quality and provides reports to the Quality Assurance and performance Improvement Committee.
Serve as a skilled leader in data systems, including the electronic health record, advises and educates all levels of employees on methods and means to make organizational operations more effective, efficient, with lower risks and higher quality.
Conduct an array of health care assessments and/or risk evaluations through the use of tracer methodology, chart reviews, fact finding, focused reviews and other vehicles of determining trends, opportunities and successes as it relates to health care practices, outcomes and processes.
The coordinator conducts health care research and formally presents findings to relevant leadership when warranted. The purpose of this research is to identify mechanisms of improvement and influence performance improvement that may impact any or all. Research studies include benchmarking of health care facilities.
Current IL RN licensure
Minimum four years nursing practice
Minimum 2 years in an acute care setting
