Manager, Case Management Day Shift Roper Hospital, Charleston, SC
Use your leadership skills, nursing expertise, and management abilities to optimize wellness and the strength of our reputation as you provide departmental leadership on a daily basis. Responsibilities include promoting effective and efficient utilization of resources to support the needs of every patient throughout the continuum of care, identify outliers, and develop plans for improvement. The professional we select will be a graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing, and possess current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of South Carolina or current compact/multi-state licensure as a registered nurse in a recognized NCSBN compact state and status as a non-resident of South Carolina.
Additional essentials include a bachelor’s degree in nursing and 5+ years of clinical experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management capacity. Experience with case management, discharge planning, and utilization management in a healthcare system; working knowledge of the healthcare industry, current legislation, regulations, and reimbursement; and a background that includes length-of-stay, cost-per-case, and physician-relations management required. MHA, MBA, or MSN; and national certification in case management fields preferred.
