Pediatric Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner – Neurology/Neuromuscular

We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to work in the Neuromuscular and in our comprehensive multidisciplinary Muscular Dystrophy Association Program.
This NP will be responsible for evaluation and ongoing management of individuals with neuromuscular disorders and will work directly with the neuromuscular neurologists as well as collaboratively with physical medicine consultants in the Center for Neurosciences.
The practice will include, but is not limited to:
Comprehensive physical assessment
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and follow-up management
Opportunity to participate in research projects, including clinical trials, particularly as related to patient recruitment and follow-up
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program
Current District of Columbia RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified
Experience in neurology with a strong preference for experience in neuromuscular disorders
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team
BLS certification and DEA registration
